Sutherland Secondary School's e-sports club is a shining example of what can be achieved through teamwork and dedication. The club has been gaining momentum since its inception and has demonstrated its collective skill in various competitions, cementing its reputation in the school as a competitive and fun club. The club members understand that victory requires more than individual skill; it requires collaboration,
communication, and trust. They practice for hours on end, honing their teamwork and strategy, and their commitment has paid off with impressive results. Their success has not only brought recognition to the school but also serves as a testament to the power of teamwork in achieving shared goals.


The esports team has become increasingly popular among students, who are drawn to the fast-paced and exciting world of competitive gaming, particularly in games like Super Smash Brothers. The team members bring in their own gaming systems, like a Nintendo Switch, to compete against each other and everyone shares a turn. With the right equipment, the e-sports team has been able to take their gameplay to the next level and dominate in competitions, including Super Smash Brothers tournaments. The popularity of this game has only fueled the team's success and has helped to further elevate the profile of esports at Sutherland Secondary School.

A new Era; Exploring the Fascinating B.C First Peoples Classes of Sutherland Secondary

           Th is y ear Sutherland Secondary was  introduced to Indigenous education . One of those new courses was  B.C First Peoples , a course that focused on the relationship between  Indigenous peoples and colonizers from th e 1700’s to today. The main points highlighted were about the injustices shown towards the Indigenous, and what must be d one to make amends. These lessons were taught through lectures, videos, and text from both perspectives to provide students with a complete idea of how a situation was approached. Seen by many as a mad man, Elon has always found a way to push the boundaries of how cars can be built. Whilst many disagree with Elon's ideologies and marking, they still respect the logic and reasoning of his approach. But his new idea for the Cybertruck, seems to have completely turned all against him.      This week, Elon gave his proposition for a 2D square model of the Cybertruck at his Austin, Texas press conference.
